Grace on the Water

Shooting into the light is often discouraged in photography 101, yet it remains one of my favourite ways to create drama. For this shot, I positioned myself low to the water's edge to capture the sun filtering through the bare winter trees. The goal was to turn the water into a canvas of shimmering bokeh while keeping the swan properly exposed—a tricky balance for a smartphone sensor!
