Light In The Darkness

The unique "tunnel" effect here actually acts as a natural sound dampener. The dense layers of needles and branches absorb sound, making the centre of Ballinastoe Woods incredibly quiet. In my opinion, it’s one of the most peaceful spots in County Wicklow to escape the noise of the world (though on a dark misty day, that peace can also be quite intimidating!).
