Long Shadows, Longer Path
Let's talk about shooting into the light! One of my favourite things to do with the Google Pixel is to find a strong light source—like the sun bursting through these dense trees—and position a tree trunk to block just enough of the glare. It creates those dramatic long shadows you see stretching across the path.
For this edit, I wanted to lean into that ethereal, fairy-tale vibe. In Snapseed, I didn't just bump up the saturation; I actually used the Glamour Glow filter (a hidden gem for landscape shots, honestly). I set it to a low opacity (around 25%) to soften the sharp digital edges that smartphones sometimes produce. It gives the light that "spilled" look without losing the texture of the gravel and the fallen leaves. Next time you're out on a trail, try shooting towards the sun rather than away from it—you might be surprised by the drama it adds!
