Sea Thrift Meets Sun
Getting cold, wet knees on the hexagonal stones was absolutely worth it for this perspective. While most people point their cameras at the grand, sweeping geometry of the Giant's Causeway, I found myself captivated by the smaller details. These tiny clusters of sea thrift are incredibly tough, clinging to the salty rocks despite the Atlantic winds.
I shot this back in March last year, just as the season was turning. To get this look, I flipped my Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra upside down, placing the lens as close to the ground as possible without scratching it. This low angle makes the small buds feel monumental against the backdrop of the setting sun.
