Caught in a Snowstorm

Heavy snowfall in Ireland is rare enough that when it happens, I drop everything to grab the camera. Duckett's Grove is imposing at the best of times, but the white dusting really highlighted the intricate stonework on the towers. Wandering the grounds, I noticed how the grey sky flattened the light, which is actually perfect for capturing texture without harsh shadows and the huge snowflakes were a dream as they stand out so nicely in the photo.
