I had a great time capturing lots of wonderful shots like this during my walk in Tomnafinnoge Woods this afternoon. Despite the biting cold, the way the glorious sunshine burst through the canopy was just breathtaking. I love how the sharp sun-star cuts through the bare winter branches and highlights the texture of the ivy on that massive tree trunk. It’s that perfect mix of moody shadows and brilliant light that makes winter walks so photogenic.
