The Secret "Sibling" of Ireland's Famous Movie Beach
Everyone knows the Saving Private Ryan beach (Curracloe), but 10 minutes south lies a hidden geological wonder. This is Tara Cove Beach in Co. Wexford.
Unlike the endless sands of its neighbour, this spot is defined by ancient, colourful volcanic slate. Just a little scramble on some rocks to get there from Ballymoney Beach, and you absolutely need low tide, but the atmosphere created by the rocks are worth it.
