A Clipper in the Castle

I took this photo at the butterfly house at Malahide Castle in Dublin. This species is actually native to Southeast Asia. They get their name "Clipper" because their flight pattern - fast and gliding with stiff wing beats - resembles the movement of the famous sailing ships of the 19th century. It was lovely to catch this one while it was taking a rare moment of rest!
