A Quiet Wicklow Walk
Morning winter light in Tomnafinnoge Woods is honestly spectacular (on a clear day!). It filters through the complex web of bare branches and catches the damp air in a way that makes the whole place feel totally prehistoric. When I shot this on my Pixel, the raw image captured the scene well, but felt a little flat. In Snapseed, I used the 'Selective' tool to specifically brighten the path, helping to lead the eye deeper into the frame. I then bumped up the 'Ambiance' slightly to make that incredible green moss pop against the dark, wet trunks without making the photo look unnatural. It’s amazing what a few subtle adjustments can do to recover the mood of the moment.
