The Roar of the River

It was quite hypnotic watching the Glenmacnass River tear its way around these massive boulders. The way the water constantly changes shape but the river stays the same.

The atmosphere was perfect for a photo - moody, cool, and fresh. It really felt like the landscape was waking up.

I actually looked up the history of the name while I was walking. "Glenmacnass" comes from the Irish Gleann Mac nEasa, which means "The Valley of the Sons of Nessa," referring to the Irish legend of Conchobar mac Nessa, the High King of Ulster. It’s amazing to think of the ancient history flowing through this valley, long before we were here to snap photos of it on our phones!
