Forest within a Forest

I initially just spotted a cheeky little patch of these curious fungi right by the beaten path. But you know how it is and curiosity got the better of me. I delved a bit deeper into the undergrowth, and then I found myself completely surrounded. It was quite surreal, like stumbling into a hidden fairy city or a miniature metropolis. I just had to capture the sheer density of them; the way the light hit that central cluster against the dark, mossy branches made the whole scene feel moody and magical. It’s amazing what you find when you step just a few feet off the trail.
