Enchanted Woodland Walks

The estate is famous for its immersive woodland trails, specifically the Lady Frances Woodland Walk and Mogue’s Enchanted Walk. These aren't just paths; they are populated with intricately carved wooden trolls, fairies, and a resident "Gruffalo," making the forest feel alive with folklore.

Book the House Tour

While the gardens are free to roam with entry, the interiors are only accessible via a guided tour. This is essential if you want to see the "secret" library doors and the stunning double-height wood-panelled hall.

Find the “Living” Sculptures

On the woodland walks, keep your eyes peeled for sculptures carved directly into the stumps of fallen trees. These often blend into the landscape and are easy to miss if you aren't looking closely.

The Animal Farm

Easy to overlook is the on-site animal farm. While it features standard farm animals, it also houses more exotic residents like meerkats and raccoons, which are often a highlight for kids.
