Frosty Dawn

I woke up before sunrise today and made a rush decision to jump out of bed and race over to the Black Castle in Wicklow to catch the sunrise. What really caught my eye for this particular photo wasn't just the grand landscape, but the way that warm, golden light set this little dried plant on fire against the cold, blue tones of the frosty grass. The lens flare and the texture of the frozen ground just make the whole scene feel so crisp.
