Did you know Ireland has a Japanese Garden hidden in a ravine? Take a 15 second pause and breathe....
Step through the mossy archway into County Wicklow's world-renowned garden at the Powerscourt Estate.
Located within the world-famous Powerscourt Estate in County Wicklow, Ireland, this lush Japanese Garden offers a tranquil escape. Created in 1908 by the 8th Viscount Powerscourt, the garden is nestled in a reclaimed peat bog. It features stone lanterns, winding paths, and a spectacular array of azaleas, Japanese maples, and exotic palms. The contrasting moss-covered grotto entrance makes it feel like you are stepping straight into another world.
