Still Waters Above Dublin City

I took a hike up to Tibradden Cairn yesterday for the first time. The views up there were spectacular. The Dublin Mountains on a crisp, clear day are magical. What really caught my eye in this spot was the brilliant contrast between the peaceful, still pool of mountain water right at my feet and the sprawling industry of Dublin city stretching out in the distance below. It’s a perfect reflection of how wild nature and urban life sit side-by-side in Ireland.

If you look closely at the horizon, you can spot the iconic Poolbeg Stacks standing tall against the sky. Fun fact: those red and white chimneys are actually over 207 metres high, making them some of the tallest structures in the whole country!
