Reflections on the Upper Lake

Glendalough (Gleann Dá Loch) literally translates from Irish as the 'Valley of the Two Lakes'. It's a spectacular glacial valley carved out during the last Ice Age. This is the Upper Lake and, looking at the sheer slopes reflecting perfectly in the calm water, you can really feel that ancient power. It’s the perfect spot to just breathe and take in the sheer scale of our beautiful Wicklow Mountains.
