They Call You Blue

"They Call You Blue" was born from a moment of stillness on the east coast of Ireland in 2024. As a smartphone photographer, I stood on the sharp rocks watching what was called the 'Super Blue Moon' rise. I was struck by the contrast: the world expected blue, but the horizon delivered a burning, deep orange. And those moments that evening delivered the photo below, titled Blue Hour.

The lyrics are a direct translation of that image. The "sky painted indigo" sets the canvas, while the "road of gold upon the waves" describes the moonlight stretching across the water like a path that looks solid enough to walk on, yet remains unreachable.

Channeling the intimate, storytelling style of artists like Ed Sheeran, this track features stripped-back acoustic guitar paired with melancholic strings. The production mirrors the photo: dark and vast in the low end, but illuminated by a bright, emotive vocal melody. It captures the feeling of standing alone at the water's edge, watching a celestial event that feels both massive and incredibly personal.
