The Magic of Raven Point
I took a walk through The Raven in County Wexford today in the sun(!), and the light was just perfect. It is hard to believe this entire forest is actually sitting on top of a massive sand spit! These pine trees were planted back in the 1930s to stop the dunes from shifting into the sea, and now they feel like a permanent, ancient cathedral.
The sun was catching the bracken just right, turning the forest floor into a sea of copper and gold. Walking here always feels a bit surreal because you are surrounded by woodland, but you can hear the sound of the waves on the beach just through the trees.
